Google has reportedly announced that it will be lowering the price for its cloud storage system 'Drive' and allow current subscribers to automatically pay less.

While the Drive's previous cost for 100 gigabytes of storage per month was 4.99 dollars, it will now be available for 1.99 dollars.

According to Mashable, one terabyte will now be 9.99 dollars per month, down from 49.99 dollars.

Following the price-cut, Scott Johnston, director of product management at Google wrote in a blog post that thanks to a number of recent infrastructure improvements, today the company is able to make it more affordable for one to keep everything safe and easy to reach on any device, from anywhere.
