Google has offered an option to its users for opting out of its new policy "Shared Endorsements", under which users' names and profile pictures will appear besides advertisements that they have purchased online.
Google users can go to the announcement page and follow it to the appropriate settings or click the "Google+ tab" on the left sidebar to bring up the 'Shared Endorsements' option, ABC News reports.
Google has made an effort to make it easier for its users to maintain privacy online, the report added.
The announcement came after Google account holders showed concern that this interconnectivity could be exploited since each service can have its own account settings.
The option can also be accessed from a Google user's account settings.
