Gorakhpur cracker market gutted in fire

A fire broke out in a cracker market near the Sahajanva railway station here on Wednesday.

According to reports, the fire, which was caused by a spark, burnt more than 30 shops before being quelled by fire tenders.

This is the third major firecrackers-related disaster in as many days, after fire broke out at a firecracker factory in the Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh, killing 13 and injuring several others on and a fire at a cracker market in Faridabad gutted more than 200 shops.
