Commenting on the death of eleven people in the last twenty four hours, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vijay Goel on Saturday said that the Delhi government should have understood earlier that things should have been planned.

"There is chilling cold in Delhi right now, and the Delhi government should have understood earlier that things should have been planned," said Goel.

"There are a lot of places which become vacant after afternoon they could have used," he said.

"It is yet to see what they will do. They are taking so much of time and are just promising a lot but doing nothing,' he added.

Manish Sisodia on Saturday had said that government will take action to prevent people dying from cold in the capital.

"We have called an enquiry and I have asked for a detailed report. The last incident that happened is very near to our night shelters," said Sisodia. "I have the prime facie information at this time and if there are deaths, the government has to take actions on this," he said.

In the last 24 hours 11 people have died in Delhi due to the extreme cold prevailing in Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government had promised night shelters for the homeless people a day after it was sworn into power it.

Delhi Cabinet Ministers Rakhi Birla and Manish Sisodia had undertaken an inspection of night shelters to address to this issue.
