Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government at the Centre has erased the word corruption from the country's political dictionary within a year of coming to power.
"In one year, the government under the leadership of Modi has erased the word corruption from the political dictionary of India," said Jaitley at a party function here.
The Finance Minister hit out at the Congress Party for blocking the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill and the new Land Acquisition Bill in the Parliament.
"The Congress has taken anti-development and anti-growth stands so that the country can't progress under the leadership of (Prime Minister) Modi," he said.
The GST Bill has been referred to a Select Committee after the opposition forced the government in the Rajya Sabha for the same.
The 21-member panel will give its report by the last day of the first week of the Monsoon session.

Jaitley also took a dig at the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government in Delhi for its run-ins with Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung over the appointment Shakuntala Gamlin as the acting chief secretary.
"The experiment by the people of Delhi is proving to be very costly. This is a costly experiment because governance is not political agenda of people in power," he said.
The Delhi Chief Minister will meet President Pranab Mukherjee this evening amidst escalating tensions between his government and Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung following Gamlin's appointment.
The Lieutenant Governor has met the President and is believed to have discussed his standoff with the Delhi Government over his decision to appoint Gamlin.
