Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday said that the intentions of the NDA Government on One Rank, One Pension (OROP) are unclear.

"The delay in OROP is their internal matter, but delaying this issue for so long reveals that the government's intentions are not clear," Nitish told media.

"They had promised One Rank, One Pension and UPA Government had taken decision on it. Now, it is not the question of announcement, but to implement it," he added.

Nitish further said, "Even after 15 months, the government is yet to implement OROP. It is very unfortunate. Nothing can be more unfortunate when the ex-servicemen, who had served the nation, have to sit for hunger strike."

The OROP scheme has been a long-standing demand of nearly three million ex-servicemen and war widows in the country.

The long awaited announcement on the OROP scheme is likely to be made today by the Narendra Modi led-Government.
