Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced that the Government will launch the frame work of the ambitious 'Startup India, Stand up India' programme on January 16.
"On January 16, the Government is going to launch a complete action plan for 'Start Up India, Stand Up India'. I had briefly touched upon 'Start Up India, Stand Up India' programme in my August 15, address to the nation from the Red Fort," Prime Minister Modi said in his 15th 'Mann Ki Baat' programme.
"All IITs, IIMs, Central Universities, NITs will be connected live to this programme," he added.
"Youth in every corner of India have talent, they only need opportunity. This 'Start Up India, Stand Up India' should not be limited to a few cities. It should reach every corner of India," he added.
Prime Minister Modi also said that January 12 is Swami Vivekananda's birthday which is also celebrated as a National Youth Festival and this year this festival will be held from January 12 to January 16 at Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
"I have got to know that this year's theme is 'Indian Youth of Development, Skills and Harmony'. I have been told that over 10,000 youths from across the country will participate in the festival," he added.
