Though Ashutosh Gowarikar's much-awaited movie 'Mohenjo Daro' would clash with Akshay Kumar's 'Rustom' at the box-office this year, the ace filmmaker wants both films to do well.
"Clashes always happen. Both 'Rustom' and 'Mohenjo Daro' should do well at the box-office. Both will be a super hit," Ashutosh told the media during a promotional event of 'Mohenjo Daro'.
Earlier, it was reported that the makers of 'Rustom' were negotiating with Ashutosh to push the release date of his film, claiming that they had earlier announced August 12 as the release date.
Ashutosh Gowariker Productions spokesperson, however, in a statement released later confirmed that the film would release on its scheduled date.
Gowariker's directorial, which is set in 2016 BC in the ancient city of Mohenjodaro in the era of the Indus Valley civilization, stars Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde.
While Akki's 'Rustom', which is inspired by the sensational Nanavati case wherein a Naval officer was tried in court for killing his wife's love, also stars Ileana D'Cruz, Esha Gupta and Arjan Bajwa in pivotal roles.
