Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has insisted that winning the Queen's Club tournament has proven that he is finally ready to end his long wait for a Grand Slam title at Wimbledon.

Dimitrov, who defeated Spain's Feliviano Lopez 6-7 (8/10), 7-6 (7/1), 7-6 (8/6) in the build up to the Wimbledon tournament, is the first player since Roger Federer and David Ferrer in 2012 to win titles on three different surfaces in the same year following victories on hard court in Acapulco, clay in Bucharest and grass at Queen's Club.

According to Sport24, Dimitrov, who reached his first Grand Slam quarter-final at the Australian Open earlier this year, said it would be special to win the Wimbledon crown.

Dimitrov said Wimbledon has been closer to him and something he has always wanted to achieve, and it's definitely on his list to do or to win, and he is going to have the chance in a week to go out there and perform the best way he can.

The 2008 junior Wimbledon Champion said ever since he has played as a teenager he has dreamt of winning Queen's, so he is just heading into Wimbledon with a lot of positive vibes.
