Guinea FM expresses appreciation for India's support

Foreign Minister of Republic of the Guinea Mamadi Toure on Monday expressed appreciation for India's support for Guinea's economic development.

Mamadi Toure, who is on a visit to India from November 3-6, met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj at Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan this morning.

Both leaders expressed their happiness with the cordial and friendly relationship between the two countries.

Toure and Swaraj exchanged views on a broad range of subjects covering bilateral friendship and cooperation.

While Toure expressed appreciation for India's support for Guinea's economic development, Swaraj conveyed India's readiness to assist in developmental cooperation, including Lines of Credit and capacity building in Guinea.

Swaraj also requested Toure that Guinea may propose new projects for financing through LOC announced during IAFS-III.

External Affairs Minister also welcomed ratification of the Framework Agreement on the International Solar Alliance (ISA) by Guinea and extended an invitation to the Government of Guinea to attend the summit level meeting of founder member of ISA in New Delhi.
