An artist from Gujarat has expressed his love for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a very unique manner by preparing his portrait using thousands of 'bindis'.

Hariom Gurjar, used 38,441 'bindi' of 11 different shades to create Prime Minister Modi's portrait.

The portrait, 31.75x41.75 in size, was completed in 56 hours, says Gurjar. He chose 'bindi' to make the portrait as it is considered a symbol of pride for women in India.

"I am a big fan of Narendra Modi and have read a lot of his work, he inspires me. From the background that he comes and the things that he has given back, so I thought that he is the right person for me. I chose from a variety of photographs to make this portrait," the artist said.

Making a portrait out of 'bindi' was not an easy task, said Gurjar, adding that he wanted to come out with the exact expression on Prime Minister Modi's face.

The portrait has been nominated for the Limca Book of World Records.

The artist wishes to gift the artwork to the Prime Minister, the next time he visits Vadodara city.
