Gujarat committed towards making 'Make in India' campaign a success: Anandiben Patel

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel on Sunday said that Gujarat is committed towards making the 'Make in India' campaign a success and added that the state is going to be a trendsetter in the campaign.

"I take pride in welcoming the pioneer and architect of Vibrant Gujarat event Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Gujarat dedicates itself to support your call for the Make in India campaign. As the most industrialized state in the country, we are committed to the cause. Gujarat will be a trend setter in the 'Make in India' campaign," Patel said while delivering a welcome speech at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

She welcomed Prime Minister of Bhutan, Prime Minister of Macedonia, and Deputy Prime Minister of Poland along with many other leaders present at the event.

Welcoming UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, she said, "It is an honour for us that UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon is present here. This is the first time that the UN Secretary General is attending a business meet in India. He is also inaugurating 10 Megawatt solar project in Vadodara city later today."

She also welcomed delegations by US, Australia, Japan, Canada, United Kingdom and Russia among others.

The 7th Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit 2015 is being held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

Prime Minster Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit later today.
