Gulf Air resumes flights to Thiruvananthapuram

Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air is resuming flights to the southern Indian city of Thiruvananthapuram from December 15th.

The carrier will have five weekly flights to the city.

According to Gulf News, Gulf Air's Acting CEO, Maher Al Musallam, said that the decision to resume flights to Thiruvananthapuram emphasizes the importance they attach to India.

Gulf Air has been flying to India since 1960.

Thiruvananthapuram is its fifth destination in the country, increasing the carrier's capacity to India by 10 percent from 45 to 50 weekly flights, from Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram, the report added.
