In an effort to enable Citizen Oriented Policing, Gurgaon Police has established an online Law and Order community for City of Gurgaon. This community enables citizens of Gurgaon to get and stay connected with each other and Gurgaon Police to share common issues relating to Law, Order, Traffic in Gurgaon and find resolution.

Using the platform, Gurgaon Police will also be able to update/alert citizens on crime related information, tips, local police initiatives as well as work with communities and RWAs on neighbourhood watch/community policing.

"Gurgaon Police is committed to engaging with the citizen community we serve through in person interactions as well as the social media", said Mr. Navdeep Singh Virk, Commissioner of Police, Gurgaon. "We are pleased to enable the Law and Order community as it empowers any citizen to alert rest of the community in an emergency or raise common issues and bring them to the notice of both police and the community for resolution", continued Mr. Virk.

"Local Circles is pleased to see the citizen oriented governance approach of Gurgaon Police. With the Law and Order circle of Gurgaon, interaction between Community and Police will also move online which makes it more real time and transparent", said Sachin Taparia, Chairman and CEO, LocalCircles. "With this connectivity, Residents of Gurgaon can not only give collective structured inputs to Gurgaon Police to make Gurgaon safer but also broadcast need for Emergency Assistance or raise an alert simultaneously to the Community and Police", continued Taparia.

All citizens residing or working in Gurgaon are encouraged to join the community and are welcome to report law and order issues like Chain Snatching, Crime Against Women, Street Vendor Encroachments, Suspicious Activity, Organized Crime etc. An additional feature called anonymous reporting has also been enabled in the community in case someone is reporting a sensitive issue and does not want to reveal his/her identity in the community.
