The Australian team management has announced that veteran wicket-keeper batsman Brad Haddin will miss the second Ashes Test at Lord's after he cited 'family reasons' for the same.
An Australia team spokesperson confirmed the news, announcing that Haddin had himself withdrawn from the second Test for family reasons, Sport24 reported.
He further said that the wicket-keeper will remain with the team in London and would not be making any further comments.
Meanwhile, uncapped Peter Nevill, who is the reserve wicket-keeper in the squad, will replace him in the playing 11 at Lord's.
Haddin had a forgettable match in Cardiff as he made scores of 22 and 7 and dropped crucial catches, including of Joe Root during Australia's 169-run defeat.
