Hamas militants have allegedly captured an Israeli soldier Hadar Goldin following the collapse of a 72-hour truce between Israel and Gaza.
According to the BBC, the truce had collapsed just hours after it had begun.
Hadar had gone missing when Israeli forces were trying to wipe out a loaded tunnel, said Israel's military.
The Israeli forces are reportedly searching for the 23-year old soldier. However, Hamas has neither denied nor confirmed the kidnap.
Untied States President urged the militants to free the Israeli soldier and criticized the Hamas militants for capturing the soldier just hours after the ceasefire collapsed.
Gaza's health ministry informed that at least 1,600 Palestinians had died and 8,400 had been injured in the conflict.
