Mercedes ace Lewis Hamilton has said that he and his German teammate Nico Rosberg have resolved their differences following their public fall-out last weekend at the Monaco Grand Prix, which Rosberg won.

The controversy at Monaco last weekend followed an incident in final qualifying when Rosberg ran into the escape road at the Mirabeau corner, following which Hamilton claimed that Rosberg deliberately left the track in qualifying to deny him the chance of claiming pole for the race.

The BBC reports that Hamilton, who was behind him on the track, had to slow down because of yellow caution flags, preventing him from trying to post the fastest time.

However, the report added that Hamilton tweeted to say that all is well between the pair ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, adding that they spoke and are still 'cool, friends'.

Hamilton further wrote that they have been friends for a long time and admitted that they also had their 'ups and downs'.
