Reigning Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton extended his drivers' championship points lead to 17 after he eased past his team mate Nico Rosberg to claim a comfortable victory in the Canadian Grand Prix.
While the Briton led a Mercedes-powered podium along with Rosberg, who finished second, Williams' Valtteri Bottas fended off Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen to secure third spot.
Reflecting on his triumph, Hamilton said that although he had a bit too much under-steer, he didn't feel under too much pressure and admitted that he felt he could pull it out when he needed to, the BBC reported.
Meanwhile, four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel displayed an attacking race from the back of the grid to eventually finish at a respectable fifth spot.
