Reigning Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton is looking forward to a fight with close rivals Ferrari at the Chinese Grand Prix this weekend and has dared them to have a go at Shanghai to find out which way it would go.
The double champion said that Ferrari, who won the Malaysian Grand Prix, could easily spring a surprise at the Shanghai International Circuit, but he has still insisted that he would like nothing better than go nose to nose for glory.
Hamilton said wouldn't it be cool to see a Mercedes and a Ferrari wheel to wheel down the straight with sparks coming out the back like they used to have back in the day, adding that he is looking forward to a fight, The Mirror reported.
The Briton claimed that it would be really cool, insisting that he is not worried because they don't know which way it's going to go. He added that in fact they probably won't know until they are actually in the race.
Kimi Raikkonen's rapier pace behind Hamilton in practice offered a glimmer of hope that Ferrari would be charging yet again, although the cooler conditions make Mercedes clear top dogs, the report added.
