New Formula One leader Lewis Hamilton has said he will not change his approach to racing, even against team-mate Nico Rosberg, despite receiving a warning of 'much greater deterrents' from Mercedes boss.

After a collision between Hamilton and Rosberg on the final lap of the Austrian Grand Prix, Mercedes bosses Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe held meetings with the two drivers, asking them to race freely but with "much greater deterrents to contact" in future.

Hamilton's comments came ahead of this weekend's German Grand Prix which is expected to see a thrilling battle between the two drivers.

While Hamilton leads the title race by six points, it is Rosberg who has pole position for the home Grand Prix,Sport24 reported.

Hamilton, who will start the race from the second spot, remains adamant that he is not going to change his approach just because it is Mercedes' home race.

The German insisted that he and his entire team had discussed and learnt from the past incidents and that he doesn't find it being an issue for either of them.
