Newly crowned formula one world champion Lewis Hamilton admitted that though the rivalry with teammate Nico Rosberg helped him push to new levels, it was tough to make their relationship work.
Hamilton, who previously had a tumultuous time with former teammate Fernando Alonso at McLaren in 2007, believes his experience with Rosberg was tougher in the just concluded season. However, he said that a fierce competitor or a tough teammate makes one competitive and ultimately raises the game. He further said that the season ended on a really respectful note in Abu Dhabi, the BBC reported.
The Briton claimed his second title by defeating Rosberg in the season ending title decider in Abu Dhabi. Commenting further on the future of Jenson Button, he said Button deserves a place with a top team next season as he is still one of the greats.
Hamilton, who sees Brazilian legend driver Ayrton Senna as inspiration, also said that he would be back to work next week and they were going to be working on the next car for the next season.
