Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris has condemned Shane Warne's recent comment that Steve Waugh is 'the most selfish player he has ever played with' and described the remark as 'disappointing'.
Harris said that he was not in favour of attacking one of the nation's most respected cricketers, News.com.au reported.
The feud between Warne and Waugh goes all the way back to the Australia's 1999 tour of the West Indies when Waugh played a part in Warne's axing.
The 36-year-old, however, said that the spin great had been voicing his opinion all the time and that made him unique.
Harris insisted that disagreements could happen within the team, but called on the duo to forget the grudges and get along.
Earlier, Warne said he did not like the way in which Waugh told him that he was dropped for the last Test match between the two sides during the 1999 tour to West Indies.
Warne, who admitted that he did not like Waugh for many other reasons, insisted that he felt he was the scapegoat for his side's loss.
Reacting to Warne's remarks, Waugh said that he did not want to justify his decision. He added that the spinner had not performed well in the first three Tests and was well aware of the fact that his spot was in danger.
Australia later on went to level the four-match series against West Indies 2-2 after claiming a massive 312-run win in the final Test.
