Haryana health minister Anil Vij had a verbal spat with Fatehabad superintendent of police (SP) Sangeeta Kalia today after the former asked Kalia to 'get out' of a meeting.
According to reports, Vij himself walked out of the meeting hall in the Panchayat Bhawan when SP Kalia refused to leave.
The ugly confrontation took place during a meeting of the District Grievances and Public Relations Committee.
The minister was asking SP Kalia about the action taken by the police in a case pertaining to unauthorised sale of liquor in villages. Kalia said that numerous cases under the Excise Act have been registered in the last 10 months.
The minister was not satisfied with the SP's response and the two began arguing. The minister reportedly was annoyed and allegedly asked the officer to leave the meeting.
The SP, however, stood her ground asserting that she was not wrong.

Following the incident, the minister said that he would complain about the lady officer to the Chief Minister.
"Her attitude is not good, I will complain to the Chief Minister... People here are complaining of illegal drug and liquor trade, and the SP is refusing to take any responsibility. I have warned her earlier too," Vij told reporters.
