Pijush Hazarika, one of the four suspended MLAs of the Assam Congress, on Monday expressed his pain on being 'sidelined.'
"I joined the National Student's Union of India in 1997, then became Youth Congress President, and then became the MLA from the Congress Party. But unfortunately, we have been sidelined," Hazarika said.
Assam Congress president Anjan Dutta on Sunday suspended four MLAs and issued show cause notice to five others for anti-party activities.
The four suspended Congress legislators were Jayanta Malla Barua, Pijush Hazarika, Pallab Lochan Das and Pradan Barua.
