Belgian winger Eden Hazard is set for a bumper new 50 million pounds five-year deal with Chelsea.
Hazard's status as one of the building blocks of Chelsea's new squad under Jose Mourinho would be confirmed when he puts pen to paper on the 2,00,000 pounds-per-week deal that is already on the table.
Hazard and his representatives have reached outline agreement with Chelsea, who are keen to show their commitment to the winger, The Mirror reported.
The former Lille star was Chelsea's Player of the Season last term and while the attention has been grabbed by summer recruits Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas the Belgian has been equally key in the club's table-topping 100 per cent start.
The new contract and financial terms are proof that Hazard has made up with Mourinho after being dropped for last season's Champions League group win over Tuesday's opening opponents Schalke when he arrived back late from France and missed a training session.
The Hazard deal is part of a clear desire by the SW6 hierarchy to tie up their brightest young talents, the report added.
