Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Tara Chand on Sunday inaugurated a two-day health fair in Kathua district to provide free medical check-up to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Tara Chand said the health fair has been organised with the aim of providing information to people on how to remain healthy.
"People will get an opportunity for free medical check-up. They will also get information to remain healthy." he said.
He also asked the health department to spread awareness regarding the traditional branches of medicine like Ayurveda, naturopathy and others among the masses.
People living in Kathua district appreciated government's effort to organise such a health camp at their door step and to provide free check-up and medicines as well.
"The biggest advantage is that all the treatment processes such as ayurvedic, allopathic, homeopathy and Unani are available here," said a patient Ashutosh Sharma.
Each year health fairs are organised in different districts to showcase the potential and the latest advancements in the traditional medicine sector.
