Incessant rainfall, triggering massive flooding in Junagarh, disrupting the lives of hundreds of people.
The floods have inundated homes, clogged roads, which were submerged three to five feet under water, and paralysed routine life on Saturday.
Rain continued to lash the entire state for the past few days that gave rise to the water levels of rivers and overflowing of dams.
"Whenever there is heavy rain in Junagarh, Visavadar and Rajkot, the water from the nearby river floods the regions. We are facing problems for the last four days. Women cook food while sitting on the cots. This is not the problem of only our village, but the floods have affected 15-20 villages," Muljibhai Ranchhodbhai, a resident of the flood affected area.
Villages were cut off from the main roads.
Three major dams overflowed in the state, affecting 4000 people who were evacuated to safer places.

The dam presented a scenario of expansive stretch of water, resembling a sea.
The head of an affected village, Abdulbhai, requested the government to take adequate steps for the proper drainage of the excess water.
"To lower the water levels in the villages, the government should take adequate steps to deepen the drains so that the flood water can smoothly flow," said Abdulbhai.
India experiences monsoons from June to September, vital for its agriculture. But the rains frequently affect millions of people, devastating crops and homes and sparking outbreaks of diseases such as diarrhoea and dysentery.
Poor management of water levels in dams has also led to huge volumes of water being released into rivers.
