Jared Leto's preparation for his Joker role wasn't all about the nasty surprises for his 'Suicide Squad' co-stars as he has revealed that he was at times "sweet and nice."
The 44-year-old actor grabbed the headlines several times for sending strange gifts like a pet rat, dead hogs and a set of bullets to the movie's cast and crew.
While promoting the film in New York, the Oscar-winning actor reassured, "I did give some really nice, sweet gifts as well, I gave cupcakes," reports E!Online.
However, soon after the remark, he added with a smirk, "I don't think they should have eaten the cupcakes."
"I actually wrote everyone a poem as well. It helped me think about who they were and kind of created this illusion of a relationship and make the circumstances a little more realistic. I did get thank you notes for some of these gifts, mind you. I'm not going to say who or what or what specific gift was thanked, but there were a lot of, Joker likes to share his toys," he added.
The 'Fight club' actor further said, "I did get thank you notes for some of these gifts, mind you, I'm not going to say who or what or what specific gift was thanked, but there were a lot of, 'Joker likes to share his toys."
Earlier, in an interview, he was quoted as saying he had even sent used condoms and anal beads to some of his co-workers, adding that "anal beads are not the craziest of all."
Suicide Squad is going to hit the cinemas on August 5.
