Formula One defending champion Lewis Hamilton is already thinking about life after retirement but one thing he is sure about is that he doesn't want to be a commentator after he retires from the sport.

The Mercedes ace is bidding to make history with a third world title and he has admitted that he doesn't want to be a television pundit when he calls it a day as a Formula One racer.

Hamilton said that at the moment, it's winning championships he has got to focus on because he has got the opportunity to do so, adding that it's not the time to be distracted by other things, the Mirror reported.

The Briton said that he is conscious that he is halfway through his career or maybe gone past half, adding that the next six or seven years would come about quickly.

And so, Hamilton further said that he is conscious of whatever the steps that he takes now that would determine what he does when he finishes and he doesn't want to and doesn't wish to be a commentator.

Hamilton has already started cataloguing nearly 500 trophies for a UK-based museum he has planned, the report added.

Hamilton will start his chase of a third Formula One world title with the season opener in Australia this weekend.
