A high level multi-sectoral delegation led by Abdulaziz Kamilov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, is visiting India from August 20-23, 2017.

The delegation includes Elyor Ganiev, Minister of Foreign Trade and senior officials and business representatives from diverse areas spanning health, pharmaceuticals, ICT, silk, food processing, tourism and leather.

The visit follows closely on the heels of very productive interaction between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uzbek President Mirziyoyev on the margins of SCO Summit in Astana in June 2017.

During his visit, Kamilov called on Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, held wide ranging talks with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, interacted with Minister of State for External Affairs M.J. Akbar besides having many other engagements. The members of the delegation of Kamilov are having their own detailed programmes in their respective areas.

The wide ranging interactions afforded the two sides to review entire gamut of bilateral relations and to decide on a road-map to take the relations to new level. The two sides agreed to intensify bilateral relations in all areas and open a new page based on comprehensive and wide agenda.
