Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have been named as most admired people in the US again.

According to Gallup's annual poll, even though the year wasn't as good for the Democrats, the former Secretary of State and US President Obama maintained their position as most admired man and woman, beating Oprah Winfrey, and Pope Francis, ABC News reported.

While it's the 7th time in a row for the president, Clinton, who's expected to announce candidature for president next year, has held the "most admired woman" title 17 times in the past 18 years, breaking the streak only once in 2001, when then-First Lady Laura Bush nabbed the top spot post 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The other names which made to the most admired women's list after Clinton are: Oprah Winfrey, Malala Yousafzai, Condoleezza Rice and First Lady Michelle Obama. Sarah Palin, Angelina Jolie, Kate Middleton, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts also made the list.

Meanwhile, following Obama, most admired men's list included: Pope Francis, Bill Clinton, Rev. Bill Graham, Dr. Ben Carson, Stephen Hawking, Bill Gates, Bill O'Reilly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
