Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Cliton who is also a firm advocate for new energy development met with Liu Hong, co-founder & vice chairman of LeEco, in Los Angeles recently, and welcomed LeEco's entry into the field of new energy.
The meeting happened when Hillary met with around 100 elite Chinese entrepreneurs. LeEco was the only internet company invited that has an electric vehicle business.
During the separate meeting with Liu Hong and Nie Xintian, SVP of LeSupercar, Hillary congratulated the development of LeEco's electric car project in the United States, and hoping to see more exciting news of LeEco. Meanwhile, Hillary accepted the invitation from Liu to visit its R&D center.
LeEco announced its See Project (Super Electric Eco-system) in December 2014, aiming to improve the environment while redefining the automobile industry in the digital era.
Since SEE Project's launch in U.S. in 2014, LeEco has built a strong R&D team with more than 400 engineers.
During CES 2016, LeEco reached a strategic cooperation with Faraday Future by introducing the first internet-based electric vehicle FFZERO1, and LeEco also exhibited its latest cooperation result, an Aston Martin Rapide S, which carried LeEco's latest IOV (Internet of the Vehicle) system.

Hillary, as a popular U.S. Presidential election candidate, is paying a high attention to climate changes. During her campaign speeches, Hillary promised that if elected, she will provide the public 500 million solar panels ensuring most households in U.S. can use clean and recycling energy. Hillary also called on tax reduction as a stimulus for new energy development.
Recently several U.S. high-ranking officials expressed their interests on LeEco's SEE Project. Judy Chu, U.S. Representative met with Mr. Liu and Nie during CES, accrediting LeEco's contribution to electric car development. Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, Mayor of North Las Vegas John Lee, and California State Treasurer John Chiang, also appraised LeEco's development on electric vehicle field during their visit to LeEco's booth at CES.
