On the occasion of the first World Yoga Day, the Hindu Council of Australia (HCA) is organising one of the biggest celebrations in Australia, aiming to reflect its principles.
The HCA, HSS and OFBJP Australia have teamed up with a large number of yoga schools and community organisations to organise this historic event, which will take place in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had during his maiden speech at the United Nations proposed the benefits of adopting yoga to the global audience and called for the adoption of June 21 as the International Day of Yoga.
Over 175 nations, including the USA, Canada, Singapore, UK and China, will be celebrating the event.
