A newly-discovered image, which shows two men standing together, is believed to be Billy the Kid's photo, captured in 1879.
New Mexico historian Frank Parrish, of Las Cruces- who revealed the new image, made from a tintype owned by a Mesilla Valley man who wishes to remain anonymous- claimed that the man standing at the right end of the picture is the legendary gunfighter who was also known as William Henry McCarty Jr., William Bonney and Henry Antrim, Fox News reported.
If true, it would be only the second known image of the Wild West gunslinger after the first one which has already fetched millions of dollars at an auction.
Parrish told the Albuquerque Journal that by means of some extensive researches he has also identified the other man as Dan Dedrick, a very close friend of Billy.
