Australian Test cricket star Ryan Harris is reportedly counting on knee surgery to extend his career well into next year.
The injury prone paceman is eyeing next year's Ashes tour and is far from afraid about the operation, which he will undergo in Melbourne that will involve a clean-out and bone shaving, the report added.
According to News.com.au, a hobbled Harris bowled Australia to victory in the final Test of the three match series against South Africa to win the series 2-1.
Harris said that his flight back home has sort-of 'locked up' his knee and he really hopes that having the knee cleaned out and operated would give him a bit more time to play international cricket as he is not 'done yet', the report added.
Harris also said that he was a bit disappointed with the South African team as they did not come into the Australian rooms after the third Test to have a 'beer' with them, the report added.
