Hollywood's A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio, who can pocket almost 17million pounds up front per film, are enjoying a payday "golden age" in the industry.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the Hollywood elite include Robert Downey Jr, who was said to have earned 50 million pounds between 2012 and 2013 alone, Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie, the Daily Star reported.

Their estimated pay packets start at 13.5 million pounds each. Sequels usually command the biggest fees, with agents able to squeeze even more from film bosses because they are guaranteed money makers.

Matt Damon has been expected to pocket more than 13 million pounds to star again as Jason Bourne in 2016. While, Jennifer Lawrence earned 7 million pounds for the sequel 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.'

Bullock became one of the highest paid actresses of all time when she made around 50 million pounds from 2013 space epic 'Gravity.'

Tom Cruise is Hollywood's richest star, thought to be worth 325 million pounds. Whereas, 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' actor Johnny Depp was next with a 300 million pounds fortune, followed by Tom Hanks worth around 240 million pounds.
