Hong Kong cricketer Moner Ahmed has been reported for a suspected illegal bowling action following his side's 29-run victory over Papua New Guinea in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier UAE 2013 on Thursday.

Ahmed was reported by umpires Michael Gough, S. Ravi, Adrian Holdstock, John Ward and match referee Graeme La Brooy.

This is the second time that Ahmed has been reported during the tournament, and he is now required to submit to an analysis by the ICC (ICC Analysis) of his bowling action.

Following the first report, Ahmed was required to submit to a Home Board Analysis, and the analysis concluded that Ahmed employed a legal bowling action. As such, Ahmed was permitted to continue bowling in international cricket.

Throughout the period of the assessment, Ahmed is permitted to continue bowling in international cricket. During this period, should further reports be made against him, the reports will have no consequence.

Where the ICC Assessment concludes that he employs a legal bowling action, the player shall be permitted to continue bowling in international cricket.

Where the ICC Assessment concludes that he employs an illegal bowling action, the player will be immediately suspended from bowling in any international cricket for a period of 12 months.
