Pro-democracy activists in Honk Kong have reportedly shaved their heads to protest against China's growing political control over the region.
Forty people, including founders of the Occupy Central movement, shaved their heads off in a church hall on Tuesday to register protest against Chinese government's decision to keep Honk Kong elections closed, reported the BBC.
Dozens of campaigners assembled in the church hall to witness the act of protest.
Beijing had earlier ruled that the candidates for Honk Kong elections will have to seek the approval of a nominating body appointed by the government before contesting the elections.
