The Congress Party on Tuesday said it hoped that an atmosphere of constructive engagement is created to ensure progress in the Budget Session of Parliament, which starts from today.

"This is the longest session of the year. We hope and trust that an atmosphere of constructive engagement is created conducive to progress. We have no doubt that in the event there is genuine give and take, a capacity to hear genuine view points, an engagement a consideration in real sense of our view point," Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi told ANI here.

" I would put squarely and entirely a responsibility of the government on the day how to carry on the sensitive agenda, how to prevent divisiveness, how to not have a egotistical or a pompous approach to issues and how to enter all quarters and sections of the opposition," he added.
With the government having expressed no hesitation in discussing the Jawaharlal Nehru University row in Parliament, the nation braces itself as a turbulent Budget Session will begin today during which President Pranab Mukherjee will address a joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.

During the session, the Rail Budget will be presented on 25th and the General Budget on 29th of February.
