Hopeful that adequate compensation will be given to Uttarakhand: Harish Rawat

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday and said that he is hopeful that adequate compensation will given to the state as result of loss suffered due to implementation of the 14th Finance Commission.

"I presented before the Finance Minister, the amount of loss suffered by Uttarakhand after the implementation of the 14th Finance Commission. I am sure Uttarakhand will be compensated for the loss," Rawat told ANI here.

"Secondly I requested him for the allocation of some funds for 'Ardh Kumbh' which will starting in January 2016. I have asked for 500 crore but I am hopeful that reasonable amount will be allocated," he added.
