Hugh Jack is going to play the great escapologist Harry Houdini in a Broadway musical, which would feature music by Stephen Schwartz.
Schwartz said that he has been specifically writing for Jackman in terms of what he thinks will sound good in his voice, News.com.au reported.
The acclaimed music composer also said that he has focused on what sorts of things will really help Jackman to do the things that he does.
Houdini, which is scheduled to reach Broadway during the 2013-2014 season, has its first full act on the iconic escapologist ready.
Schwartz said that he hopes the show will make an out-of-town debut in Chicago before Broadway premiere.
