A state memorial service will be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground to offer respects to late Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes, who passed away on Thursday after being hit on the head by a bouncer delivery during a Sheffield Match at SCG.
New South Wales Premier Mike Baird has said the memorial service will be held on a date to be confirmed in order to give the public a chance to mourn the tragic loss of the 25 year old batsman, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
The service has been organized in consultation with Phillip's family and the details regarding the date will be announced soon, he added.
