Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray has said that he would prefer winning more Grand Slam titles over the chance to be world No.1, before he plays his first match since being crowned champion at the All England Club at the Rogers Cup Masters Series event in Canada.

According to Sky Sports, Murray said that every player in the world would like to get to number one but he would rather win a grand slam or two more and not get to number one.

The Scot said that he had sat down a few days ago and talked about trying and winning another Grand Slam, and he knew how difficult it was to win those tournaments, considering the time it took him to win his first.

Murray will face either Spaniard Marcel Granollers or Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov in his first match at the Rogers Cup, the report said.
