Former Australian Test cricketer Michael Hussey has said that the current dominance of England in the Test arena is just a part of a natural cycle.

The stable and winning team environment of 2005, of which Hussey was a part, is a vast contrast from the chaotic condition of the current team, which is going into the winter Ashes as underdogs, having lost the summer series 3-0, an unthinkable scenario eight years ago.

However, The Independent reports that the Test cricketer is confident that Australia will regain the world champions tag soon, adding that the England era of dominance is just the part of a natural cycle.

According to Hussey, the current batch of Australian players are new for which the team is in a rebuilding process whereas England have been able to keep a crop of players, who are hardened Test performers and are aware of their role in their team, together for a long time

Hussey further said that it is inevitable a team will have success when they can keep players together and show faith like England has done with their men, adding that they constant coming and going in the Australian team puts a lot of pressure on its players as they have to perform and contribute as well.

When Hussey, who came to be known as 'Mr Cricket' for his focus and dedication to the sport, played in Australia's 5-0 whitewash of England in 2006/07, just 12 players wore the famous Baggy Green in the Test series, the report added.
