Uttar Pradesh BJP president, Laxmikant Bajpai, today stood by his earlier statement against the Moradabad SSP saying that he would take revenge under the bound of law.

Bajpai told ANI, "Congress and SP are showing their weakness if they are protesting against me. I stand by my earlier statements because I had said my revenge would be under the ambit of constitution. I have visited the Human Rights commission and I hope they will do justice with me. "

Bajpai had earlier criticised Moradabad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dharamvir for giving out anti-BJP statements and said that the SSP is not fit to be in public service.

He also added that UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav should induct the SSP into his own security team and keep him at his official residence, suggesting that the police officer was beholden to the ruling Samajwadi Party.

"The BJP will definitely take revenge for the detention of its MLAs and we will stage a 15 days protest at the commissioner's office to demonstrate against it," Bajpai had added.

On July 4, BJP protesters had clashed with Moradabad police for detaining party MLAs including Muzzaffarnagar riots accused Sangeet Som along with two other party leaders while they were on their way to a Mahapanchayat to protest against the decision of the state administration to remove loudspeakers from a temple.
