Midfielder Vicente Iborra struck a late goal as Sevilla sealed their first away win of the season by sweeping aside Athletic Bilbao 2-1 in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final clash at San Mames Stadium on Friday.
After a goalless first half, the hosts gained the lead when Aritz Aduriz netted a goal just two minutes after the half-time, but Sevilla soon got a golden chance to level the score with Timothee Kolodziejczak's equalizer in the 56th minute.
It was in the 83rd minute of the match when Iborra came up with a winner to help the defending champions take edge in the quarterfinal tie.
The two sides will play their second leg of the last eight on April 15.
