The Indian women's cricket team launched their campaign at the ICC Women's World Cup at Derby today with a 35-run win over England.
Chasing a target of 282 runs, England was all out for 246 in 47.3 overs.
Put into bat, Smriti Mandhana was the top scorer with 90 while her opening partner Punam Raut made 86, while skipper Mithali Raj, chipped in with 71-run knock.
This was India's first win over England in five years as they had all lost all six previous matches.
