At least six people, including a woman, sustained injuries in an IED blast that took place in Kali Bari market area of Peshawar city on Saturday.
The explosive material was kept inside a car that was parked near a mosque. The vehicle was completely damaged in the incident, Geo News reported.
The police said that nearby shops in the area were damaged due to the intensity of the blast. Most of the shops were closed at the time the explosion took place.
Capital City Police Officer Peshawar Qazi Jameel said that eight to ten kilograms of explosive material was used.
"A white colour car was used in the blast and the closed-circuit television cameras in the area will tell us where the car came from," he said.
All the injured have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital in the city and are said to be out of danger, according to officials.
Security forces are conducting an investigation to ascertain the cause of the blast.
