Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday remembered Gandhiji's philosophy on the occasion of his 147th birth anniversary and urged one and all to follow his ideals.
"Not only our country, not only Pakistan, but all over, we need to give a message that Kashmir is place of peace and brotherhood. However , in the past few years, our brotherhood has been harmed and we need to revive it again," she said.
"Every issue, whether big or small, we should open the doors of dialogue and create an environment for talks," she added.
"Now, the biggest challenge for the world is to end this bloodshed and chaos. Today, Gandhiji's philosophy of peace, non-violence and brotherhood is required the most. We have forgotten his ideals. Everybody talks of Gandhiji, but there is no one to follow his ideas,"Mufti said.
"In the dark clouds of war waging over at present, we again require Gandhiji's philosophy of peace," she added.
