Inclement weather continues in Arunachal Pradesh

Inclement weather continues in Arunachal Pradesh as rain continues to create havoc in the state capital and most part of state.

As per Department of Disaster Management, Arunachal Pradesh there are still many areas in the state from where the communication is not possible as the roads have not been restored or repaired due to the inclement weather.

The department has also informed that District Emergency Operation Centres are made functional in all the districts and centrally at Itanagar.

As a part of monsoon pre-positioning two companies are stationed at Itanagar and a team of 45 personnel is stationed at Namsai which is the worst affected district due to flood.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu yesterday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju and apprised them about the grim flood situation of the state.

Khandu sought their immediate attention and assistance in sending a central team to assess the flood situation and the consequent damages caused to property so that relief and rehabilitation process could be put into action at the earliest.
